A collection of everything you need to know to understand the latest in pain science delivered in bite-sized pieces. Worksheets and videos to help understand YOUR pain story and masses of evidence-based tools and techniques to reprogram your pain and get back to leading your life to the full.
The Change Your Pain Toolkit brings you both the latest in pain changing information and community support from those who truly 'get it'.
It has been designed for anyone experiencing chronic pain, whether you have fibromyalgia or an underlying condition. Whilst the expectation for change may be different for everyone, the content is designed to help reduce or remove your pain.
Think of it as a digital library containing a multitude of tried and tested pain changing resources where you can be supported by pain-aware health professionals. The beauty of Change Your Pain is that we will continue to add content each month when you tell us what YOU need - whether that is a pain re-framing technique, a movement practice suitable for painful days, the latest pain recovery research or a meal plan to help nourish yourself even when exhausted.
You can work through the first few modules about understanding pain, learning what is influencing YOUR pain and then move on to the modules containing masses of tools and techniques to help you change it. More than that you will have access to information, hints and tips to help you manage your pain as you recover and how to manage associated issues such as stress, anxiety, sleep, fatigue, diet and movement.
There will be monthly Q and A sessions online with the opportunity to ask questions and email support in between. Alongside this, you will be surrounded by people who understand! There is an invitation only Facebook group to share useful tips and progress, offering a positive community to enhance your Change Your Pain journey.
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: All the content and information in our toolkits, courses and memberships have been created as a collection of useful information and techniques to support you to Change Your Pain. Although we try our best, Change Your Pain does not make any guarantees about the completeness, reliability and accuracy of this information. Any action you take upon the information you find on this website, Change Your Pain, is your full responsibility and you are responsible for your own health and wellbeing whilst engaging with it. If you need further support please check our support page for a list of practitioners who can support you further if you require it. Change Your Pain is designed to support your recovery if you are experiencing a chronic and persistent pain condition or a stress-related condition. So before you begin it is important that you have ruled out any serious underlying disease or pathology for your pain. (for instance cancer, infection, fracture or cauda equina syndrome). If you are unsure then and still need to rule out any underlying condition then please consult your doctor or healthcare professional (Osteopath, Chiropractor, Physiotherapist) to ensure it is suitable for you to engage in this platform. You also need to be aware that pain is often linked with emotional stress and trauma and some of the activities may trigger emotional responses. If you suffer with mental health issues or PTSD we recommend that you work with a SIRPA practitioner with experience of psychological therapy. See our support page If you suffer with anxiety or mild depression these are common symptoms associated with pain and our content is suitable but again we expect you to use your own judgement as to whether the individual techniques are suitable for you.
By purchasing the toolkit you agree to take responsabilty for your own health and wellbeing.
